Ingredients
Step 1
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cup oil
Step 2
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
Step 3
- 3 cups shredded carrots
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Toppping
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 stick margarine or butter

Instructions
- Mix ingredients from Step 1 list: eggs, sugar and oil together. Mix ingredients from Step 2 list: flour, cinnamon and vanilla. Add to egg/sugar mixture. Mix ingredients from Step 3 list: carrots, flour, salt and nuts. Add to egg/sugar/flour mixture. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake 45-60 minutes in oblong cake pan. Cook topping ingredients over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour topping over cake while both are hot.
